Well I had a Bassman 135 and tried really hard to love it, then took a shot at liking it, then spent a good bit of money on recap and new power tubes It was pretty much the same design as the Bassman 100 (same 4 x 6L6 tube compliment ), but with a bit heftier output transformer, probably a bit higher THD% rating (to help Fender support the 35 additional watt rating over the 100), and an added mid control for the bass channel. Bassman 135 (1978-1983) - Silverface piggyback head - Same as the Bassman 100, with 135 Watts/RMS, ultra-linear output section and a three band EQ on the Bass channel.
